Founded by two entrepreneurial brothers-in-law on James Street in 1948, Art’s Cleaners has been a cornerstone of the Middletown community for over seven decades. Willie Greenfeld, a skilled tailor, brought precision and craftsmanship to every garment, while Arthur Seligman handled pickups and deliveries, ensuring convenience and personal service for every customer.

As demand grew, the company expanded beyond its original location twice before opening its current establishment on NY-17M in Middletown in 1968. Over the decades, clothing styles and materials have evolved, but the business’s commitment to service and quality has remained steadfast.

Today, Art’s Cleaners enters an exciting new chapter through a strategic partnership with Cilia’s Group. Cilia’s leadership brings fresh energy and innovation, while longtime Art’s Cleaners President Joe Greenfeld remains actively involved, offering guidance and insight rooted in decades of experience in his family’s business.
